Bishop Serratelli, following the lead of the Holy Father Pope Francis, has asked all parishes to pray for all persecuted Christians during the month of August. "It is my hope that our united efforts, in both prayer and action, will strengthen those who suffer persecution and move the hearts of those who oppress them to embrace a life of peace," he stated in a letter published last month.
