Parish ministries serve two main purposes. One is to welcome parishioners to deepen their own spiritual lives and involvement in the Church through participation in liturgical ministries or other functions. The second important function is to reach out to those in need. There are many opportunities throughout the year for everyone to get involved.
Charitable Outreach: Jesus taught that serving others is serving Him. In this way, we reach out to help those in need by giving of our time, talent, and treasure in a variety of ways. There is something for everyone throughout the year in which to participate.
Liturgical Ministries: The laity play essential roles during the mass. Here you can find information on how you can get involved in one of our ministries. You can also find the schedule for Eucharistic Ministers, Altar Servers, and Lectors for each Mass.
Music Ministry: At Good Shepherd, we are extremely blessed to have a dedicated and talented music ministry team who enhance our liturgical experiences through the beauty of music and song. Our Adult and Children's Choirs always welcome those who would like to sing at the weekend and Holy Day Masses. Contact Music Director Dawn Donnelly after Mass or email [email protected].
Martha - Mary - Lazarus: The Bereavement Ministry group helps to provide comfort and support to members of the Good Shepherd family who are dealing with the sickness or death of a loved one through prayer, Funeral Mass ministries, and more. Speak to Fr. Tim for more information.
Forever Young Seniors: This group hosts events with both a spiritual & social emphasis, such as retreats, workshops, bus trips, etc.
